Einführung
Das Aachener Kolloquium Fahrzeug- und Motorentechnik unter der gemeinsamen Leitung des Institut für Kraftfahrwesen Aachen (ika) und des Lehrstuhl für Verbrennungskraftmaschinen Aachen (VKA) - RWTH Aachen - ist inzwischen zur festen Institution im automobilen Jahreskalender geworden. Im vergangenen Jahr konnten wir mehr als 800 Teilnehmer aus über 20 Ländern in Aachen begrüßen. Daher kommen wir gern den Wünschen der Praxis nach, das Kolloquium von nun an jährlich durchzuführen.
Auch in diesem Jahr werden auf dem Kolloquium wieder aktuelle Themen der Motor- und Fahrzeugtechnik behandelt und diskutiert. Aktuelle Neuentwicklungen werden vorgestellt und erläutert. Als Beispiele seien neue direkteinspritzende Otto- und Dieselmotoren, Abgasnachbehandlungskonzepte und Motorsteuerungskonzepte sowie Nutzfahrzeugmotoren, neue Fahrwerkstechnologien zur Verbesserung der aktiven Sicherheit und des Fahrkomforts, Neuentwicklungen aus dem Antriebsstrang und neue Ergebnisse aus den Bereichen Telematik und Verkehrsflußsimulation genannt.
Bitte nutzen Sie die Gelegenheit, hier in Aachen zusammen mit anderen Experten der automobilen Welt diese Themen zu diskutieren und gemeinsam die Suche nach neuen Lösungen fortzusetzen.
Auf der Teststrecke des ika werden wieder vortragsrelevante Versuchsfahrzeuge, Prototypen und Aggregate der beteiligten Firmen und Institutionen im Fahrbetrieb vorgestellt. Abgerundet wird das Kolloquium durch die begleitende Fachausstellung im Eurogress. Die Zahl der Aussteller hat sich in diesem Jahr weiter erhöht.
Natürlich haben wir auch für die Begleitpersonen wieder ein sehr interessantes und abwechslungsreiches kulturelles Rahmenprogramm vorbereitet.
Introduction
Over the past years the Aachen Colloquium for Automobile and Engine Technology under the joint management of the Institut für Kraftfahrwesen Aachen (ika) and the Lehrstuhl für Verbrennungskraftmaschinen Aachen (VKA) - RWTH Aachen - has become an institution in the automotive calendar. Last year, we were able to welcome more than 800 participants from more than 20 countries in Aachen. Therefore, we gladly comply to the often expressed wish to introduce an annual frequency for the colloquium.
Current topics of engine- and vehicle technology will also be reported and discussed on this year?s colloquium. Recent new developments from all over the world will be presented and explained. As examples, new direct injection gasoline and diesel engines, supercharging, concepts for exhaust aftertreatment and valve train control as well as heavy duty diesel engines, new active vehicle chassis and suspension technologies for the improvement of active safety and driving comfort, new drive train developments and actual results from the areas of telematics and traffic flow simulation are to be named.
Please take the opportunity to discuss these topics with other experts from the automotive world. The conference shall give the possibility to continue the joint search for new technical solutions.
On ika?s test track lecture-relevant test vehicles, proto-types and aggregates of involved companies and institutions will be presented in operation again. The colloquium is completed by an accompanying exhibition in the Eurogress. This year, the number of exhibitors has even further increased.
Of course we have also arranged a highly interesting and varied cultural program for accompanying persons.
