Perspectives for Tire Technology

The conference “Science Meets Tires- Perspectives for Tire Technology” will be held in the fall of this year to develop an interdisciplinary discussion platform with the experts and professionals of industry and development from the tire production branch. The Institut für Kraftfahrzeuge (ika) of RWTH Aachen in conjunction with three other institutes is inviting a professional dialog within the professional setting of this conference, to discuss these complex topics and challenges together on the 7th and 8th of September 2011.

Key Topics

Demands on tires from the perspective of automotive technology, gearing and modeling of tires, processing and preparation of tires and tire chords, current material development in tire technology, quality control and test rig technology.

Target Audience

Developers, hosts, handlers and machine manufacturers, raw material manufacturers, service providers and research facilities that would like to learn about and exchange ideas about current tire technology and the most recent tire developments.
