KoMoDnext – Automated and Connected Driving in the Digital Test Field Düsseldorf An overview of the test field, applications and results
The joint project KoMoDnext - Automated Driving in the Digital Test Field Düsseldorf, funded by the BMDV, ended after 27 months in March 2022. The project used and expanded the test field established in the previous KoMoD project. The goal of KoMoDnext was to provide infrastructure support for automated driving in selected network sections. On the 20 km long test route, various use cases were implemented and tested both on the highway and in safety-critical sections in the transition to the urban area (Rheinalleetunnel and Rheinkniebrücke) and at inner-city intersections controlled by traffic signals. The presentations will provide an overview of the implemented applications as well as the results of a model-based system-wide assessment.
