Within this field of research we combine all methods and research topics concerning the closed loop driver – vehicle – environment in order to recreate the vehicle’s intelligence. The driving task comprises the three levels navigation, course tracking and stabilization. Our research in this topic focuses on crosslinking driver assistance systems throughout all three levels up to highly automated driving, the potential of satnav systems for accurate and reliable self localisations, the use of attributes from digital maps and crosslinking with CE devices.
Our research activities subdivide into the topics energy efficiency, enhancing road safety and recreating the driving experience.
