Research the Factors Influencing the Control of Human Hybrid Powertrains

Topic and Goal of the Thesis

Vehicle electrification offers new degrees of freedom in the design of automobiles, which will be presented in a novel human-hybrid research platform. The demonstrator vehicle is used to test innovative driving experiences and control strategies. The influence factors on comfort and efficiency in a pedal driven electric vehicle are to be investigated within the scope of this work.

Working Points

  • Development of relevant research questions and derivation of hypotheses on human-hybrid powertrain control.Human Model Integration
  • Experimental design, realization and execution of the study
  • Statistical analysis and evaluation of the results
  • Documentation of the work


  • Good English or German language skills
  • Reliability, commitment and enjoyment of working independently
  • Experience in Matlab is an advantage.
  • Experience in conducting subject studies is an advantage
