Präsentation des neuen VW Polo bei den Aachener Karosserietagen 2009

Am Institut für Kraftfahrzeuge der RWTH Aachen University findet die Veranstaltung „Aachener Karosserietage 2009 – Aachen Body Engineering Days 2009“ statt.

Das Institut für Kraftfahrzeuge richtet zum zweiten Mal die „Aachener Karosserietage – Aachen Body Engineering Days“ aus. Zu den Vortragenden der internationalen Veranstaltung gehören wieder namhafte Referenten aus Industrie und Forschung. So sprechen unter anderem Prof. Dr. Rudolph C. Stauber (Hauptabteilungsleiter Betriebsfestigkeit und Werkstoffe der BMW AG), Dr. Matthias Rabe (Leiter Entwicklung Aufbau der Volkswagen AG) und Dr. Ulrich Eichhorn (Entwicklungsvorstand Bentley Motors Ltd.) über Karosserieentwicklungstrends.

Besonderes Highlight der Veranstaltung sind die Karosseriepräsentationen. Volkswagen zeigt zum ersten Mal auf einer Tagung die Karosserie des neuen VW Polo. Weitere Premieren feiern die Karosserien des Porsche Panamera, des BMW 5er GT und des Mercedes SLS AMG.

Ebenso werden die neuen Technologieträger SuperLight Car (SLC) und das InCar der ThyssenKrupp AG vorgestellt.

Die Veranstaltung wird vom Kooperationspartner Forschungsgesellschaft Kraftfahrwesen mbH Aachen organisiert.

The basis of our intensive research work for large parts of the automotive industry as well as public funding bodies at EU, federal and state level is our extensive infrastructure, which ranges from drive, battery, chassis and tire test benches to acoustic, thermodynamic and servo-hydraulic test facilities to a complete vehicle crash facility and test tracks including state-of-the-art measurement technology. In addition, there is up-to-date software and hardware equipment for all necessary simulation disciplines. ika employs about 120 permanent staff and more than 80 student assistants. In addition, around 100 student research and development projects are carried out on a permanent basis.
