AI-based method for determining vehicle conditions using acoustic data

Topic and Goal of the Thesis

L-category vehicles cause high noise emissions. In order to analyze the noise emissions of these vehicles, noise-intensive driving styles are to be identified by means of acoustic recordings. The aim of this work is to develop an AI-based approach that uses recorded noise data to draw conclusions about vehicle conditions, such as engine speed. An essential part of this work consists of processing the recorded data on the software side and implementing a suitable AI-based approach.

Working Points

  • Literature research and familiarization with the state of the art
  • Software development of an AI-based method for detecting vehicle conditions using acoustic data
