Our Meetup series for interested parties presents and discusses current, practice-relevant research topics in the field of future mobility.

Aachen is one of the leading research locations in Germany for automated driving. In addition to RWTH Aachen University, there are a large number of companies dealing with technologies for implementing automated driving functions. And the city of Aachen is also working with numerous projects and initiatives to develop cutting-edge research and citizen interests into a new mobility concept.

As examples for the different players in the region and the resulting goals, Ford as vehicle manufacturer, e.GO as startup, fka as research institution and the city of Aachen as administrative institution will present current topics within the framework of this ika-Meetup.

• City of Aachen
  Through its activities and coordination, the City of Aachen creates networks in which innovative ideas for new mobility in research projects can be jointly promoted by regional partners.
• Ford Research and Innovation Center Aachen
  Ford has been researching and developing driving functions at various levels of automation for many years. The goal is always to offer as many innovations as possible in production vehicles.
• e.GO Moove GmbH
  As a startup, e.GO is developing the e.GO Mover, a fully electric minibus for up to 15 people, which will enable innovative mobility services especially in local public transport. Right from the start, the concept was designed for Level 4 automation.
• fka GmbH
  For many years, fka has been an innovative research service provider in the field of vehicle automation at all levels. fka not only supports system development with innovative concepts, but also develops the necessary methodology to objectively evaluate and validate driving functions.
