Analysis of tire measurement data to parameterize a statistical tire model

Topic and Goal of the Thesis

As in many other branches of mechanical engineering, simulation models are playing an increasingly important role in automotive engineering.

In the context of this work, a methodology is to be developed that allows the prediction of measurement data curves based on tyre characteristics for use in tyre simulation models.

Working Points

  • Statistical analysis of necessary tire characteristics
  • Selection of a suiting model
  • Training of the model
  • Generation of virtual measurement data

Requirements

  • Good English or German language skills
  • Reliability, commitment and enjoyment of working independently
  • Experience with matlab, python
  • Experience with Machine Learning is an advantage (not a must)
