Design of a novel disaster control vehicle for combined deployment scenarios
Topic and Goal of the Thesis
Disasters, whether natural or man-made, often pose life-threatening situations for the affected population and emergency services. In view of the increasing frequency of extreme weather events and potential man-made crises, innovative solutions are needed in the field of disaster control. UGVs (unmanned ground vehicles) and UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) support rescue workers but are usually highly specialised for a specific task. The aim of this work is to identify an innovative, modular, multi-terrain-capable disaster control vehicle for combined deployment scenarios.
