Development of a simulation model for training an AI
Topic and Goal of the Thesis
Rapid advances in hardware and software development are increasing the interest in other fields of application for artificial intelligence. One of these is the assistance of time-consuming and computationally intensive FEM simulations.
As part of the thesis, a simulation model of a battery case is to be developed, on the basis of which training data for a surrogate model is created.
Working Points
- Definition of simplified load cases for the purpose of computing time optimization
- Reasonable restriction of the solution space by determining the influence of individual geometry parameters on performance
- Creation of a parameterized CAD model
- Setting up the simulation model, the DoE and carrying out the simulations
Requirements
- Good English or German language skills
- Reliability, commitment and enjoyment of working independently
- Very high level of analytical thinking
- Knowledge in CAD design (ideally CATIA)
- Knowledge of simulation technology (FE) is an advantage (ideally HyperMesh and LS-DYNA)
