Analysis of a tire footprint with regard to acoustic properties
Topic and Goal of the Thesis
The topic of this thesis is the analysis of a tire footprint concerning its acoustic properties. The objective of the work is to investigate the relationship between the tire profile and the resulting road noise. In particular, the mechanisms behind tire-road noise generation will be analyzed to identify possible correlations between the physical characteristics of the footprint and the acoustic signals.
Working Points
- Literature research about the topic
- Investigation of the geometric features of the tire footprint.
- Analysis of the tire-road noise (tire individually)
- Identification of correlations between footprint characteristics and acoustic properties.
- Development of a model to describe the relationships between tire profile and noise generation.
Requirements
- Good written and spoken German or English skills
- Reliability, commitment, and enjoyment of working independently
Note: Please attach brief resume and grade summary.
