Integrated software system for AI on the edge

Topic and Goal of the Thesis

Intelligent wheels emerge as essential safety solutions in the landscape of connected and automated mobility, presenting significant potential to elevate driving safety standards. Nevertheless, the deployment of AI models supplied with data in real-time comes with its own set of challenges to address. The aim of this work is to develop an integrated software system for running AI on the edge.

Working Points

  • Literature research & study of the state of the art
  • System development based on set of requirements
  • Implementation on an edge device
  • Evaluation and validation in laboratory environment

Requirements

  • Good English and/or German language skills
  • Reliability, commitment and enjoyment of working independently
  • Experience with Ubuntu, C++ and ROS/ROS2
  • Experience with PyTorch is an advantage
