IMplementation of Powertrain control for clean and Economic Real driving emIssion and fuel ConsUMption
The reduction of real driving emission and fuel consumption of heavy duty road haulage is one of the main challenges in the transport sector. A necessity exist to measure the impact of innovative solutions for real driving fuel consumption and emission reductions. The project objective is to develop a methodology to represent the real driving conditions of heavy duty trucks in a simulation environment and thus enable the evaluation of innovative measures within this simulation environment. Focus is on new predictive and comprehensive powertrain controls. To improve the quality of the predictive functions by using accurate and up-to-date information, an eHorizon system will be advanced.
