Shift2Zero

The EU-funded project "Shift2Zero" aims to promote sustainable and efficient urban logistics through the development and implementation of zero-emission light commercial vehicles (eLCVs). In light of the growing demands for environmentally friendly transport solutions in urban areas, the project seeks to bridge the existing gap between the supply of N1 vehicles and market needs.

The role of ika in the project involves analysing user requirements and translating them into technical specifications for new vehicle designs. Through workshops and interviews with end users, ika ensures that the developed vehicles are both functional and user-friendly. Additionally, ika develops design guidelines for the structured technical evaluation of new concepts, focusing on aspects such as sustainability, modularity, and user efficiency.

The consortium consists of 30 partners from 10 different countries, including automotive manufacturers, research institutions, logistics companies, and public entities. These diverse partnerships enable the project team to consider all aspects of the supply chain and develop innovative solutions.

Overall, Shift2Zero aims to provide innovative approaches for zero-emission urban logistics. The project relies on collaboration and technological innovations to sustainably shape the future of urban mobility.
