In the Eye of the RADAR

Our Meetup series for interested parties presents and discusses current, practice-relevant research topics in the field of automated driving.

Radar Sensors for Automated Driving Functions

Marcus Olbrich (HELLA GmbH & Co. KGaA)

A safe perception of the vehicle's surroundings through the driving function is the basis for planning vehicle movement. Despite the advances in image processing, RADAR sensors remain one of the most important components of environmental sensor technology due to their robust and reliable measuring principle. Marcus Olbrich will report on the requirements and solutions in the development of RADAR sensors for automated driving functions and demonstrate the measuring characteristics and advantages of RADAR sensors with practical examples.
