NVH-analysis of a chassis
Topic and Goal of the Thesis
The chassis is an essential part of the transfer path through which road excitations are transmitted to the vehicle's interior. This makes it a key factor in comfort as well as in vehicle dynamics. The high complexity of the individual components and their interactions within the chassis makes it difficult to accurately predict the acoustic behavior.
The objective of this thesis is to investigate the acoustic behaviour of a chassis system in the context of NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) characteristics in detail. Measurement data, which has been collected during various test scenarios, will be evaluated and analyzed to identify relevant influencing factors.
Working Points
- Literature review on the NVH behavior of chassis systems
- Conducting measurements at the chassis-NVH test bench (maybe)
- Evaluation and analysis of the results
- Identification of influencing factors on the transfer behaviour
Requirements
- Good English and/or German language skills
- Reliability, commitment and enjoyment of working independently
- Experience with Matlab is an advantage (not a must)
