The full view - Visual influences to avoid carsickness
Interview with Dominique Bohrmann (Deutsche Bahn, TU Munich) on the subject of car sickness (german):
Our Meetup series for interested parties presents and discusses current, practice-relevant research topics in the field of future mobility.
Automated driving creates multi-layered demands on vehicle design and development. Not only the safe and reliable functioning of the technical system be ensured, but also to make the vehicle and its interfaces comfortable and user-friendly. But what does user-friendly mean? How will the vehicle of the future be used and what aspects need to be taken into account? Particularly under the premise of increasing non-driving activities, the influence of kinetic activities, the influence of kinetosis - also known as motion sickness - must be examined. In his lecture, Dominique Bohrmann will show the basics for researching corresponding countermeasures and requirements for the mobility systems of the future.
Dominique Bohrmann
- is Executive Assistant in the Group Management of Deutsche Bahn AG and was previously Development Engineer and head of the Motion Comfort network project at Mercedes-Benz AG
- is working on the prediction and prevention of kinetosis in the context of highly automated driving functions as part of his doctorate at the Chair of Ergonomics at TU Munich
The event starts at 18:00 hrs, the talk will be held in German.
