A Short History of Automated Driving and its Lessons for the Future
Our Meetup series for interested parties presents and discusses current, practice-relevant research topics in the field of future mobility.
Dr. Shladover will give an overview technological evolution of automated driving systems beginning from the early days of the PATH Program of the Institute of Transportation Studies of the University of California at Berkeley, where he was worked from 1989 until his retirement in 2017. He will provide some insights from his various position in different committees, like the National Automated Highway Systems Consortium and Transportation Research Board.
