ALLIANCE Future Lightweighting Day 2018

ALLIANCE (Affordable Lightweight Automobiles Alliance) invites you to the ALLIANCE Future Lightweighting Day on the 20th September 2018, following the Aachen Body Engineering Days 2018.

The ALLIANCE Future Lightweighting Day will include a session of presentations from the four winners of the ALLIANCE Lightweight Open Innovation Challenge, who will showcase their technologies to a board of the six Alliance OEM’s (Daimler, Opel, Toyota, Volvo, Volkswagen and CRF- the Research Centre of FCA).

In a second session, ALLIANCE researchers from different organisations will give insights into their recent developments within Alliance - ranging from innovative design optimisation tools to characterisation of materials - and sustainable lightweighting.

The event will take place at the Institute for Automotive Engineering (ika) of RWTH Aachen University.
